The site has been researched in the past 20 years by Viorica Crișan and Valeriu Sîrbu. LiDAR data analyses for this site are conducted by Dan Ștefan (MNCR). Excavations in the fortress are currently led by Paul Pupeză (National Museum of Transylvania, Cluj Napoca). Landscape analyses and surveys in the territory are coordinated in HiLands Project by Magdalena Ștefan and Dan Buzea (MNCR)
